Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

The strikes come after nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
